Designed and hand-built (by Mario) in Canada.
The DBIO™ is a dual-buffer interface for your two cable method [2CM] guitar rig and pedalboard. It includes a Class-A guitar input buffer and a high-headroom output line-driver, which can also be used as a balanced long-line transmitter, for the cable run between your pedalboard and back-line amplifier.
The discrete Class-A input buffer that's included for your guitar has an input impedance and other finely tuned characteristics which mimic that of hi-quality tube amp inputs. It will safeguard, strengthen and prepare your guitar’s signal for whatever follows in the signal path.
It presents the guitar with a dynamic and ideal load that remains steadfast, resulting in consistent tone while still allowing the guitar to breathe and feel, as if it were plugged directly into the front of a trusted tube amp.
The high-headroom output line-driver has superb capacitance and load impedance drive capabilities which means long lengths of cable or daisy-chained passive splitters such as the Compatt/X™ IsoPlus™ should never be an issue.
For extra long (up to 330ft. / 100m) or cable runs with greater noise immunity, use a balanced ¼" TRS cable between the DBIO™ Patch-Box and our Compatt/X™ IsoPlus™ (a passive device) — connected directly to the input of your back-line amp with a short standard ¼" TS instrument cable.
